Meeting Minutes for July 28, 2008

Pre-Meeting Presentation by Ginger Valentino and Karen Clark on Dutch Rabbits.

The regular meeting of HCRBT was called to order at 7:05 PM on 7/28/08 in Crosby, TX, chaired by Lori Basgil.

The Meeting Agenda was unanimously approved as distributed.

The Meeting  Minutes  for June 30,2008 were distributed and reviewed.

Motion was made by Joe Harris and seconded by Keith Robison to accept minutes as written. Unanimously approved by members present.

Treasurers Report was distributed and reviewed.  Motion was made by Ginger Valentino and seconded by Karen Clark to accept report as written.  Unanimously approved by members present.  

Committee Reports:

            Audit Report:

No report this month.

Constitution & By-Laws Report :

Revisions are  in the process of being typed, not ready to be submitted.

Hospitality Report:

Club Annual Picnic will be held at Lori & Pete Basgil’s home on Sunday October 5, 2008 at 2:00 P.M.  Menu will include Hot Dogs & Frito Pies.  Members volunteered to bring chili, sides dishes & drinks.

Advertising/Publicity Report:

All advertising, webpage, ads & brochure need to be up-dated asap.

New Member Packets & Membership Cards were discussed and unanimously approved.  Diane will work on them this month and present drafts at next meeting for approval.

Budget for committee was discussed (ink, paper, etc.) Diane will get with Lori during the month.

Equipment Report:

No report this month.

Show Committee:

Possible show dates for 2009 were discussed.  Lori will try to secure 2/21/09 as club’s next show date.  She will report back next month.

Old Business:

The Club Workshop will be held at Baytown Fairgrounds on

September 14, 2008 at 3:00 P.M.

Speakers:

Cheryl Blackman- ARBA Judge, Gloria Blackman- HLS & Rabbit Chairperson, Joe Harris- 20yr.meat pen breeder.

Hands-on- Demonstration:  Bree Basgil & Hannah Hook

Discussion  for the club to provide door prizes using club funds of $100.00.  Motion was made by Diane Robison, seconded by Ginger Valentino. Unanimously approved by all members present.

New Business:

            Joe Harris will be the contact person in the absence of Pete & Lori Basgil during their trip to ARBA Nationals.

Adjournment:

            Meeting was adjourned at 7:40 P.M. by Lori Basgil.  The next general meeting will be held on August 25, 2008 at Crosby Community Center.
